Frogspawn Corals are beautiful Large Polyp Stony (LPS) corals known for their distinctive, branching tentacles tipped with colourful, bubble-like structures. Their gentle swaying movement and vibrant colours make them a popular addition to reef aquariums.

These corals thrive under moderate lighting and gentle to moderate, indirect water flow that allows their fleshy tentacles to sway naturally. Excessive flow can damage their delicate tissue, particularly where it meets the hard skeleton.

Frogspawn Corals possess stinging tentacles and should be given adequate space from neighbouring corals to prevent aggression. Although they can sometimes coexist with Hammer Corals, compatibility is not guaranteed, and they should generally be kept away from Torch Corals.

As stony corals, Frogspawns require stable alkalinity, calcium and magnesium levels to support healthy skeletal growth. Occasional feeding with small meaty coral foods may encourage growth, although feeding is not essential.

As always, stability is key.
